Denmark-based BoConcept forays into Hyderabad's home design market

Zoe Concepts Pvt Ltd has opened the first retail outlet of BoConcept, a Danish designer, manufacturer and retailer of contemporary furniture and lighting, in Hyderabad.

Located at Banjara Hills, the newly launched store features products from world-renowned designers like Oki Sato, Henerik Pedersen and Karim Rashid.

With this launch, the 65-year-old manufacturer and retailer has ventured into the South India market.

Spread across 4,000 sq ft, the BoConcept store in Hyderabad constitutes of 14 in-house studios. It will be featuring various living spaces such as living, dining, sleeping, home-office and outdoor spaces.

Navin Khanna, Director of BoConcept India, said, “Since our entry in India, there is a lot of acceptance of Danish designs, the modernistic approach that we have. We see great potential in Hyderabad and feel that it is a great choice for our first store in southern India.”

“The brand has zeroed in on the Metropolitan and Scandinavian styles. The Metropolitan style comes from the big-city lifestyle of the upscale metropolis whereas the Scandinavian style brings BoConcept back to its Nordic roots and design heritage where natural light plays an important role in creating a specific mood,” he added.

BoConcept began as a small furniture company in 1952 in Denmark. Currently, it has a presence in nearly 300 stores in more than 60 countries.
