Disney to focus on adult fashion

Expects to garner one-fifth of sales from this category

The retail arm of Disney India plans to expand its presence in the adult fashion category, and nearly double the contribution of this segment to one-fifth of its total revenue over the next three years.

Roshini Bakshi, vice president and head of consumer products, retail, publishing and franchise marketing, Disney India, in a recent media interaction, said, "Globally, around 40 percent of our revenues is derived from the fashion category. In India also we are trying to focus on expanding our product range and partnerships in the adult apparel segment and also accessories segment.”

The company is also focusing on expanding its presence amongst the top 50 cities across the country.
