Dr Lal Pathlabs plans to double the number of its laboratories

Diagnostic company Dr Lal PathLabs is undertaking a major expansion plan including diversifying into new segments such as clinical trials, and offering managed services to hospitals to run in-house laboratories on a revenue-sharing model. The company is doubling the number of laboratories from 50 to 100 and collection centres from 700 to 1,000 over the next one year. 

The company is targeting a turnover of Rs 240 crore next year compared to Rs 172 crore at the end of this fiscal. The company will now move into Tier-II and Tier-III cities in the North and East regions by setting up new labs and collection centres.
