Fila eyes to reach 100 retail stores mark in India

Fila is targeting at reaching a total of 100 exclusive retail stores in India in the next five years. Initially, the Italian sportswear brand will concentrate on metros for its retail expansion, however, it also aims to open in mini-metros and Tier II locations in future.

Fila, which is licensed in India through Cravatex Brands, is planning to open one store a month for achieving its brick-and-mortar retail target and later increase this to two stores a month. The brand also looks to expand its shop-in-shop presence across India.

Recently, Fila introduced its first Chennai exclusive retail outlet with its latest spring/ summer 2019 Heritage collection, featuring designs inspired by the brand’s past. Prior to this, it launched a store in Bhubaneshwar’s Espalande Mall. The brand is also running stores in Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad.
