Flipkart launches 5th handbags and footwear private label brand 'Cara Mia'

Flipkart Fashion today launched its 5th handbags and footwear private label brand, Cara Mia on its platform.  Meant for women in the age group of 18- 25 years, Cara Mia, features a wide range of over 75 unique styles of handbags and over 100 unique styles of footwear. Both these categories would be rapidly ramped up to offer twice the current selection on the platform, Flipkart said this today in a statement.

Cara Mia is the fifth private label from Flipkart Fashion, after the already established Divastri a private label for women ethnic wear, Metronaut a private label for the urban man and Anmi a private label offering fusion ethnic wear for woman, Miss & Chief- a private label for kids.

Women’s handbags and footwear are of the largest and fastest growing segments in the e-commerce fashion space in India. However, Flipkart fashion recognises a gap in the market between high-end luxury products and affordable products that offer both style and quality. Flipkart feels, the launch of Cara Mia, is a step to address this need in the market.

Launching the new in-house label, Rishi Vasudev, Head of Fashion at Flipkart, said, “Women fashion accessories is one of our fastest growing categories, where we have witnessed a 100% Y-o-Y growth in branded portfolio. Accessories today have moved from being functionality to an expression of one’s personality and style. With the launch of Cara Mia, we aim to expand women's fashion portfolio and also offer quality products at competitive price points.”

Cara Mia features selections under two ranges- Urban Street Style fashion and Vintage Affair.
