Thomson, the French consumer electronics brand, has ventured into the Indian audio device market. The development comes a year after the successful launch of the brand’s Smart TVs in the country.

In order to develop the audio range of products in India, Technicolor SA, the owner of the Thomson brand, has inked an exclusive licensing agreement with Envent Worldwide.

LicenseWorks, the leading Indian corporate brand licensing agency, has helped in facilitating this licensing partnership with Technicolor.

As part of the new deal, Envent has launched a line of Thomson Audio products in the Personal and Home Audio category.

Claire Villeneuve, Head of Technicolor Trademark Licensing, said, “This new licensing agreement is promising and illustrates the potential of the Indian Market as well as the increasing brand recognition of Thomson in India.
