Godrej Consumer buys Indonesian Megasari

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd announced that it has sealed the deal to acquire the Indonesian household product maker, Megasari Group for Rs 1,200 crore in an all-cash deal.

The company said that the deal is a strong platform to establish a significant foothold in Indonesia, which is among the largest consumer markets in Asia.

The acquisition presents Godrej a bouquet of products such as HIT insecticide, Stella air freshener and instant foods. The company will also launch its staple of home care and personal care products such as Cinthol soap and Colour Soft hair colour in Indonesia.
