Gopal Vittal resigns from HUL, management undergoes reshuffle

Gopal Vittal, Executive Director of the Home and Personal Care business of Hindustan Uniliver Limited, has resigned from his post to “pursue an external opportunity”. This is the fourth exit in the group after Shrijeet Mishra, Executive Director-Foods, Rakshit Hargave, Head-subsidiary Lakme Lever, and N Rajaram, Vice President-Hair Care.

Vittal’s role would be taken over by Hemant Bakshi, currently the Executive Director-Sales and Customer Development, while Manish Tiwary, Vice President-Modern Trade, will be in charge of Bakshi’s current role. Tiwary also becomes a part of the Management Committee, the top executive team of Hindustan Unilever, which is led by Nitin Paranjpe, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
