Grocery delivery startup Milkbasket raises Rs 15 crore funding

Milkbasket, the grocery delivery startup, has raised Rs 15 crore from Innoven Capital, a venture debt and lending platform.

The latest funding is in addition to $10.5 million which the company had raised earlier this month. This round was led by Unilever Ventures, with participation from Mayfield India, Kalaari Capital, Blume Ventures and few Indian family offices.

Anant Goel, Co-Founder and CEO, Milkbasket, said, "The fresh investment positions us firmly for continued growth, and we will be investing substantially in geographical expansion, new technological advancements and hiring through the year."

"This is a testament to our proven pioneering model and a solid team that is transforming everyday lives of urban households in India," he further stated.

Innoven Capital offers debt capital to high growth innovative ventures primarily backed by venture capital firms.

Milkbasket was launched in early 2015. It has till date raised close to $26 million in equity funding.
