Gurugram-based Baxi-Fresh raises Rs 2 crore from existing investors

Hyperlocal delivery platform Baxi-Fresh has raised Rs 2 crore from its existing investors, including Alok Mittal, Founder and CEO of Indifi Technologies, Nitin Singhal, a UK-based angel investor and Mahendra Pratap, Founder and CEO of Shiksha Infotech.

The Gurugram-based company will use the fresh capital to expand and launch its delivery services across 200 neighborhoods in Gurugram and New Delhi by July 2019. Currently, Baxi-Fresh is serving 20 sectors in Gurugram and one in Dwarka.

Ashutosh Johri, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Baxi-Fresh, said, "With this bridge investment we will quickly scale our operations. The money will be used to hire key team members, market the service and strengthen our operations as we gear up to cover the entire Delhi-NCR region over the next few quarters."

"Our model has three unique aspects. It is asset-light and doesn’t need expansion investment; it has driver stability as we use hyperlocal part-timers for hyperlocal delivery, and above all, it has the lowest gross cost of delivery even on day one," he added.

Recently, the company has partnered with retail chains Mother Dairy and Patanjali Ayurved to make deliveries from their stores.
