HDFC partners with FRTWA to offer cash withdrawal facility

HDFC Bank, one of the largest private financial service companies, has partnered with Federation of Retail Traders Welfare Association (FRTWA) to offer cash withdrawal facility at over 50 large and prominent retail stores across the major cities of India.

Federation of Retail Traders Welfare Association is a trade body representing shop owners in Mumbai with over two lakh small, medium, and large store owners as its members.

The bank has produced a statment, where it states, "Customers can withdraw cash up to Rs 2,000 at these stores by swiping their debit cards using the PoS machines deployed at these stores."

The 50 Stores include Roopam, Benzer, Amarsons, Kala Niketan, Premsons, Asiatic, Libas, Seasons, Roopmilan, Metro, Catwalk, and Mochi, among others are going to use cash collected from their sales for the withdrawals.

Parag Rao, Head of card payment products, HDFC Bank, said, "The initiative will help the masses easily withdraw cash and reduce their inconvenience."
