Harrys of London to open stores in India

British luxury shoemaker Harrys of London is all set to open its outlets in many Indian cities including Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. This luxury brand got its ultimate shot of fame in 2002, when renowned celebrities like John Travolta and Denzel Washington wore its shoes in prestigious Oscar ceremony. To mark the development Giuseppe Bonfiglio, CEO of Harrys of London, said, "The reason why we choose India is related to culture, people and context. We usually look at customers more than we look at markets." Moreover, Harrys of London has many Indian customers, which they are serving in their UK and Middle East stores. Founded in 2001, Harrys of London sells shoes for anywhere between Rs 26,000 and Rs lakh per pair. As of now, Harrys of London  operates in over 20 countries. Besides flagship stores, it's sold at men's luxury department stores and speciality retail shops. The British firm is now busy exploring its business partner in India  with the help of leading retail solution provider Franchise India.
