Home interior design startup Spacejoy has secured $1 million in seed funding from the United States-based venture capital firm Accel. The Bengaluru-based company will utilize fresh funds to grow services for catering to consumers in the US market.
Founded by Arnab Saharoy and Vinay Indresh in April 2019, Spacejoy offers an interactive 3D platform for users to design their own homes. The platform serves as an e-commerce platform where consumers can purchase the products they use to create their designs.
Arnab Saharoy, Co-Founder and CEO, Spacejoy, said, “It’s a full stack product where you can design your home yourself with products from top designers and retailers and then finally purchase it. We charge a nominal fee compared to engaging a designer in the US and provide instant feedback on designs which bridges the gap.”
Subrata Mitra, Partner at Accel Partners, stated, “Home improvement is a big space where a mix of technology and creative services can be applied. The founders’ background in tech companies and their experience doing interior design services in India, gives them a unique edge.”
