New Delhi: Swedish home furnishing brand IKEA has announced home services platform UrbanClap as its furniture assembly partner for its 4,00,000 square feet store in Hyderabad. IKEA is preparing to open this maiden store in Hyderabad this summer.
As a furniture assembly partner, UrbanClap said it will offer skilled and experienced professionals to IKEA customers for unpacking and assembling the furniture in 90 minutes.
"The partnership is a result of the mutual objective of the two brands to keep customer experience and efficiency at the centre of everything," said Varun Khaitan, co-founder of UrbanClap.
UrbanClap said, in accordance with the service agreement, the IKEA trained carpenters will be listed on the UrbanClap platform and customers will be able to order their services.
"IKEA will also have an in-house team of 150 assemblers, out of which today 75 are women in line with our commitment to have 50% women co-workers at all levels in IKEA India," said Patrik Antoni, deputy country manager, IKEA India.
