India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. today unveiled three new bikes
India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. today unveiled three new bikes - SZ, SZ-X and YBR 125 in a bid to give Indian masses the Yamaha edge of Quality, Performance, & Design. Yamaha India, which has a market share of 10% in the Indian two wheeler segment, is also looking to increase it to 30%, said Mr. Pankaj Dubey, National Sales Head, India Yamaha Motors Pvt Ltd. The price of these new collection of bikes range from Rs 47,000 to Rs 52,000 ( Ex showroom price Delhi). The latest launch will help Yamaha to go deeper into the Tier II and Tier III cities of India, said Mr. Dubey. According to Mr. Takahashi Yoshiteru, Director and Managing Executive Officer, Motorcycle Business Operations, Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd, the market for motorbikes in Asia is for 40 million units out of which market for 10 million units is in India. He further adds that,” India is the most important market for Yamaha and Yamaha is committed to introduce new products as per the need of the Indian consumers. “We are looking to build a strong sales network which will be the largest in India”, opines Mr. Yukimine Tsuji, CEO and MD, India Yamaha Motors Pvt. Ltd. He also said that Yamaha will soon foray into the sale of apparels and racing accessories. India Yamaha will also extend training to all their dealers about the three S, that is: sales, service and spares, in order to meet the consumer satisfaction. India Yamaha Motors Pvt. Ltd operates from its state-of-the-art-manufacturing units at Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh and Faridabad in Haryana and produces motorcycles both for domestic and export markets.
