Infinity Retail, part of the Tata group and offers consumer durables under Croma brand, is attempting to grow its sales by 30 per cent during the current fiscal via an expansion of its retail network, coupled with enhanced contribution from private labels. As part of that strategy, this retailer plans to add 14 stores across the country during this fiscal, and each store would involve a capital expenditure of nearly Rs 50 crore. Infinity Retail currently has a store network of 90 outlets. Ajit Joshi, MD and CEO, Infinity Retail, said, “We expect these new stores to contribute about Rs 200 crore each to our turnover.” Croma stores are company-owned.
