JK Organisation celebrates its Founder's Day

JK Organisation, one of India’s largest business conglomerates, celebrated its Founder’s Day, the 127th Birth Anniversary of Lala Kamlapat Singhania, whose vision and thought laid a strong foundation for the Organisation’s prosperous future and has resulted in the shining edifice that JK Organisation is today. The event witnessed participation from eminent diplomats, bureaucrats, bankers, media and various other VIPs along with the entire J.K. Organisation employees and their families, as well as business associates.

While remembering his father, Shri Hari Shankar Singhania, President, JK Organisation, said, “Lala Kamlapat Singhania, a visionary and an entrepreneur par excellence was a pioneer in the real sense of the word and an eminent institution builder. He set up the first cotton mill in Northern India in 1921 exclusively using Indian capital, management and labour and in an environment, which could not be described as wholly conducive. At the same time, he was fired with unremitting nationalism and national pride that made him actively participate in the freedom movement.”
