New Delhi: Yokohama India has opened its 2nd Yokohama Club Network (YCN) in Navi Mumbai at Nerul. A fully owned subsidiary of Yokohama Japan, the company has tied with Balaji Wheels for another YCN at Navi Mumbai.
YCN is a specialized network based on Yokohama's global vision to develop Point Of Sales to provide world class tyre buying experience.
Yokohama India currently has more than 650 point of sales which also includes 25 Yokohama Club Network (YCN) across length and breadth of India.
'During the launch of our first ever manufacturing unit in India at Bahadurgarh, we had announced our intention in opening as many Yokohama Club Networks across India. The opening of YCN will be key in defining ur growth strategy in the near future,' said Takeshi Harada, Director (Sales & Marketing) Yokohama India.
Yokohama India plans to double its YCN strength nationally by the end of 2015. The Global Tyre major is currently operating on 2% of the total market share in India.
While tube type tyres still contribute a considerable share of the total passenger car radial market, Yokohama India is only competing in the tubeless tyre market.
The newly opened YCN also showcases latest and large variety of alloy wheels to jazz up one's existing ride.
'Our previous association with Yokohama has made us realize the consistent quality given by Yokohama Tyres. The repeat customers that we get made us decide on our future association with them,' says Yogesh Patil, Managing Director Balaji Wheels.
Balaji Wheels has been in the Tyre business for the last 10 years.
