Jos Alukka & Sons, which got bifurcated from Thrissur-based group Alukkas Jewellery in 2001, has geared up to make its brand visibility in 2012-13.
Keeping the investment target of Rs 550 crores in the next two years, the company is planning to target south India markets before moving to the four metro cities of the country.
It is targeting the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka by opening 12 stores to poise its position. By then the company expects to clock sales turnover of Rs 1,025 crores.
To move into an expansion mode, Jos Alukka & Sons is also developing a distinct brand identity by abandoning the age-old logo of Alukkas Jewellery.
The jeweller company has road mapped to invest around 250 crores in this year and Rs 300 crores next year. Apart from a new logo, the company has also selected popular Tamil actor Vijay as its brand ambassador.
