Kansai inks deal with MU

Kansai Paints Co. Ltd, Japan - parent company of Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd. India - announced a three-year sponsorship deal with Manchester United, as its first global paint partner.

In response to the partnership, Kawamori, President, Kansai Paints Co. Ltd, Japan said, “Both Kansai Paint and Manchester United Football Club have a long history of success and a deep desire to succeed in the future. Kansai’s partnership with Manchester United is a further demonstration of Kansai’s desire to become a global leader in the coatings industry.”
 
Kansai Paints is the largest coatings manufacturer in Japan and Africa, with leading market positions in India, China and South East Asia.  It also has operations in Europe, the Americas and the Middle East and has a vision to grow to be the world number one coatings company within the next ten years.
 
“With Manchester United’s global popularity we are certain that this partnership will enable our parent company to develop not only its presence in new markets but will also enhance its position in existing markets,” said, HM Bharuka, Managing Director - Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd, India.
 
Speaking on this occasion, Manchester United’s Commercial Director, Richard Arnold, said, “Kansai is the perfect company to partner with Manchester United. Although from two very different industries they demonstrate many of the same values and qualities we adhere to both on and off the pitch, such as growth, investment in its people and innovation. I am delighted to welcome them to the Manchester United family and look forward to a successful partnership.”
