Kurlon aims for 1000 cr turnover

Leading mattress maker  Kurlon aims to achieve the target of RS 1000 crore in current fiscal on the basis of a new facility unit added at Jhagadia, Gujarat. Presently, the company  has manufacturing capacity of 10,000 mattress a day. Speaking on development,  T Sudhakar Pai, Managing Director, Kurlon, said, "This financial year we would achieve a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore after operations in our new plant at Gujarat comes to full swing," The company is also looking to enhance its exclusive store Kurlon Mattress Xpress to 300 from the present 120 in the current financial year. Speaking further Pai added "We would also expand our dealership network to 6,000 this financial year." It is worth noticing that on an average company is adding 400-500 dealers every year.  Pai also informed that company may increase the prices due to rise in the raw inputs such as latex and other imported products. Inputs became dearer because of depreciation of the Indian Rupee against US Dollar.  As per the inputs from Pai, Kurlon is measuring a good growth in the Western region and would now concentrate on the Northern zone. Speaking on same he added, “We have a good market in Western region - Gujarat and Maharashtra, but the biggest opportunity lies in North India and our new plants in Roorkee and Gwalior would serve it”,
