Liberty shoes see a huge demand of safety shoes in sectors like construction, engineering, mining , etc. owing to their extreme focus on the safety of their workforce. In fact, the economic slowdown has not affected the sales of safety shoes. At present, the company manufactured about 50,000 pairs of safety shoes on a daily basis at its facility in Uttarakhand, and looking to expand the number up to 60,000 in coming months. In an official statement, Adesh Gupta, CEO, Liberty Shoes Ltd, said, “We have developed safety shoes which are priced less than Rs 800 for a pair. Companies with having a large temporary workforce want to procure shoes that are easy on their budget and also provide the necessary safety element,” It is worth noticing that Liberty Shoes had sold over 31 lakh pairs in the first quarter in the first quarter , and notch up the sales revenue of Rs 105 crore.
