Apparel and home products brand, Marks & Spencer, has appointed Venu Nair as the Managing Director of its India operations after CEO Martin Jones moved back to the parent company for personal reasons. Prior to this, Nair was Head of Sourcing for the £9.7-billion British retailer in South Asia and Director of Buying Operations for India.
Venu Nair to take over from CEO Martin Jones.
M&S, which operates through Marks & Spencer Reliance India, a joint venture with Reliance Industries, plans to increase the number of stores in India to 50 by 2013. The current number of M&S stores is 24.
