Marks & Spencer Reliance India has announced Martin Jones as its new chief executive officer.

Jones will replace Mark Ashman as head of the joint venture company. Ashman has returned to the UK as Marks & Spencer regional managing director (Europe and Middle East), as per the company statement. 

A veteran in the retail industry, Jones has been associated with Marks & Spencer since 1997.

Marks & Spencer Reliance India Pvt. Ltd is the joint venture formed in April 2008 between Marks & Spencer and Reliance Retail. It currently operates 17 stores in India, offering high quality, great value clothing as well as home products and food.
