MobileStore in expansion mood

The Essar Group’s telecom retailer, The MobileStore, is all set to make its substantial presence by opening stores pan India. The company is planning to open 700 outlets in the next 6 months.

With the aim to scale up the business by around 50-60 per cent by the end of March, the company is sanguine to make its retail presence at right price and right space. The company has started the process of adding 200 stores and has around 100 stores in the pipeline.

It is planning to adopt the route of franchise to gear up the process. The franchise model for tier II and III cities & towns. The model will help the company add around 500-600 stores, leveraging the existing supply chain system which has already been set up by the company.

The company is offering the training to the franchisees and would also provide furniture and fixtures to maintain the identical look of the brand, across all our stores.

Since telecom markets are bringing more 3G services, the demand for smartphones would increase from 15 per cent to 30 per cent and thus a new service called connected world would give live demonstration of all applications possible in the 3G era.
