Nestle plans acquisitions; for new product lines

Analysing the buoyant domestic demand, the food-maker Nestle is
looking forward to acquire some companies with a view to expand its
product portfolio. The company is also planning to launch a few more
products in the coming times.

"We are growing...we plan to acquire one or a couple of companies to
expand our product-line in India. This is the right time and we have
to invest more here," Nestle India's Chairman and Managing Director,
Antonio Helio Waszyk affirmed.

Though the company was tight-lipped on the acquisition time frame but
was apprehensive about the decision. Further, the company also
announced the launch of new products like breakfast cereals in their
catalogue.
