Odyssey launches two stores in Mumbai
India`s one of the leading and fastest growing chain of leisure retail stores Odyssey has inaugurated its fifth store in Chembur and sixth store in Ghatkopar. Having these two stores in full operation, Odyssey is running 45 stores in the places like residential, airports, tech parks and malls. The Chembur store was inaugurated by the famous author and economist Lord Meghnad Desai, whereas Mr. Anil Dharker, film critic and promoter of new Cinema inaugurated the Ghatkopar store. While commenting on the launch of two Odyssey stores, Mr. T S Ashwin, MD, Odyssey India Ltd. said, “Odyssey realizes India`s evolving need for a world class leisure shopping experience. With the opening of two stores in a span of two weeks in Mumbai, Odyssey not only fulfils its dream but also sets a new benchmark for leisure shopping in India.” Odyssey intends to cater to the readers of varied age groups and hence the stores have housed a diverse array of books on the subjects ranging from popular fiction, non-fiction, computing, health & fitness, F&B, travel, computing apart from coffee table books in genre of art & architecture, leisure, etc. On an average, one can find more than 75,000 books in a store. On the other hand, a large collection of music from international to Indi-Pop and movies from classics to contemporary are the part of the total merchandise. Odyssey has also stocked the Apple iPod and other digital audio players.
