Overnight the entire country learnt about mobile wallet

Gurgaon-based mobile wallet company MobiKwik's office was a happening place after the announcement.

Upasana Taku, Co-founder, MobiKwik, said, "We were shocked for the first few minutes as it took us some time to absorb the news."

Taku added, "Then began the planning — division of work, targets and strategies to achieve those targets. As per the data provided by the company it has grown from 35 million users to 45 million users post-demonetisation.

The announcement came as a push and mobile wallets became a necessity rather than a convenience overnight."
