PE time for Mom & Me

Mahindra Retail is in talks to raise Rs 100 crore ($18.8 million) in funding from private equity investors for Mom & Me – the speciality retail venture of the diversified Mahindra Group. With about 50 stores across the country, it is now raising money to open more stores and expand the product offerings.

The retail chain is also looking to expand to tier II and tier III cities.
