Paytm is introducing a loyalty programme that will allow users to accumulate points and use it across all of Paytm’s platforms and its offline merchant base. Cashbacks, one of the most popular reasons for higher usage of the app, will be accumulated as ‘Paytm Loyalty Points’, which can then be redeemed across online platforms as well as over 5 million merchant outlets that accept Paytm.
Paytm SVP Deepak Abbot said “The Noida-based company has been aggressively trying to drive digital transactions among its users and merchants. “This will further encourage our users to keep transacting using Paytm, and drive business growth for our merchant partners”.
Paytm’s loyalty programme comes at a time when other rivals like Flipkart group are contemplating similar products, while Amazon has already seen success with its Prime subscription programme. Paytm says it will further enhance its loyalty programme in the coming days by adding new features.
