Puma has roped in Indian football national team goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu as its new brand ambassador for the India market.
Sandhu will endorse Puma in the country for three years.
Abhishek Sharma, CEO, Athletes Today Sports Management Pvt Ltd, the sports agency managing the Bengaluru FC player, said, "We are excited to facilitate this partnership between Puma and our star player Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, this deal is a benchmark to understand the growth of Indian football players in the commercial aspects of the game. The collaboration with PUMA follows a series of highly coveted partnerships with some of the fashion industry's most dynamic labels, including Golden Goose, Aquazzura, and Dover Street Market.
As the retail industry grapples with its environmental footprint, PUMA's initiative paves the way for a greener, cleaner, and more responsible shopping environment.
Prior to leading PUMA's global direct-to-consumer (DTC) business, he held management positions in retail operations and business development at PUMA India.
Ganguly's resignation will be effective from August, as he plans to embark on his own venture in the sportswear ecosystem.
