Raghu Pillai to bid adieu to Reliance Retail by mid-year

A Reliance Retail spokesperson confirmed that Raghu Pillai, who is a director on the board of the company and is designated as president and CEO (operations, strategy and business development), has decided to step down from Reliance Retail for personal reasons.

Mr Pillai was among the core team of executives hired to set up Reliance Retail in 2006. With more than 25 years of management experience, of which he spent some 15 years in retail firms, such as Spencer’s and Future Group, Mr Pillai was hand-picked by Mukesh Ambani to lead India’s largest private sector group’s entry into modern retail.
