SRS opens 7th food court; to invest Rs. 150 cr in F&B business
Leading real estate developers SRS Group have opened their seventh `SRS 7Dayz Sweets & Food Court` at SRS mall in Faridabad. It has been designed to offer a wide variety of Indian foods along with packaged premium namkins and sweets under the brand name 7Dayz Premium. At the inauguration, Sunil Jindal, MD, SRS Entertainment Ltd. declared that the Group would invest Rs. 150 crores in the food & beverage business within the next 3 years, and increase the number of food courts to 25 by 2008 in territories of Greater Noida, Chandigarh, Panchkula, Ludhiana, Gorakhpur, Muradabad and Amritsar. "We have various formats of the food courts depending on the areas. But we are initially looking into the large formats of area 9,000 to 12,000 sq. ft. After having a few food courts, we will give a think for franchising", Tinku Singh, Group President said to our Reporter Subhro Prakash Ghosh. He also said us that the Group will start its venture in Kolkata in 2009 and also some parts of Bengal like Durgapur and Siliguri where huge malls are growing up.
