Safexpress unleashes warehousing revolution in Pune

Safexpress, India’s largest supply chain and logistics company, has announced the launch of its ultra-modern logistics park in Pune. This is company’s ninth successful launch in the country in the last nine months. Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, Vineet Kanaujia, GM – Marketing, Safexpress said, “As the ‘Knowledge Leader’ and the ‘Market Leader’ of supply chain and logistics industry, we have taken the ownership of driving a warehousing revolution in India. We are investing Rs. 600 crore to develop world-class warehousing at certain strategic locations across the country.” Kanaujia announced, “Our Logistics Park in Pune will be operational 24x7, 365 days in a year to provide ‘time-definite’ deliveries. Due to our seamless and non-stop operations, we will be providing the fastest transit time of 1.8 days for deliveries all across India from Pune. This will tremendously augment the standards of supply chain and logistics in Maharashtra, thereby contributing to the state’s economic growth.”  Speaking about the choice of Pune as a location for developing this ultra-modern Logistics Park, Kanaujia said, “Pune has the sixth largest metropolitan economy and highest per capita income in the country, with the least income disparity between the rich and the poor. Over the years, Pune has become one of the most important industrial centres in the country. It has well-established manufacturing, glass, sugar and metal forging industries for over five decades. Pune also has a growing industrial hinterland, with many Information Technology and automotive companies setting up factories in this belt.”
