Samsung targeting 4 Indian cities to set up large-format mobile experience centres

Samsung is actively looking for sites to launch large-format mobile experience centres in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi. Last year, the South Korean tech major opened the world’s largest mobile experience centre in Bengaluru.

Like the iconic Opera House in Bengaluru, Samsung experiences centres will revolve around technologies like Artificial Intelligence(AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and Virtual Reality (VR), and the company's mobile and consumer electronics product line.

Samsung’s new experience centres will be between 10,000-15,000 sq ft in size. Bengaluru's iconic Opera House is spread over 33,000 sq feet.

The company said, "Samsung Opera House is a playground where you come to play, learn and find solutions. Here you can meet our latest line up and learn how they can make your everyday life more fun and creative."

At present, Samsung has more than 180,000 retail stores across India, of which, 2,000 are exclusive stores.

As per to market research firm Canalys, Samsung has continued to stay on the second position in the country with a share of 22%.
