Leading specialty beauty retailers Sephora plans to add Marc Jacobs Beauty and Tarte brands to its portfolio in India, shortly. The retailer, which stocks 31 international brands at its three stores in India, also plans to open seven stores in the country this year.
In a recent media interaction, Afif Haddar, General Manager, Sephora South Asia, said, "Private labels are very important to Sephora as the idea for Sephora is that is 'the' beauty authority. It is a destination for beauty for consumers who can experience a variety of brands which may not be in their reach.”
Speaking further he added, “Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata are going to be our focus markets, where company is looking to increase its presence.”
