SpiceJet aims Rs 150-200 crore revenue from SpiceStyle in FY17-18

Low-cost carrier, SpiceJet has unveiled the first experience store for its newly launched e-commerce retail venture, SpiceStyle at Galleria in Gurugram.

The company which is looking to boost its ancillary revenue through this online venture has spent around Rs 20 crores for this initiative.

Ajay Singh, CMD, SpiceJet, said, "SpiceStyle, is an exciting new business venture by SpiceJet, which will help further enhance our ancillary revenues. I am delighted to unveil SpiceStyle’s retail store which complements our e-commerce portal and brand stores on Amazon and other e-commerce platforms. SpiceStyle promises to provide customers with the same brand experience as the parent airline enabling them to travel in comfort and style."

At present ancillary revenue accounts for 17 percent of the total SpiceJet revenue. The company is eyeing revenue of Rs 150-200 crores in this financial year from SpiceStyle.

Apart from selling its products through SpiceStyle.com, the company will also open brand stores in association with Amazon and Paytm.

Singh added, "SpiceStyle presently offers 12 fashion and lifestyle brand under its portfolio and it will add further fashion brands going forward."
