Socialising at coffee shops is a leading trend that is picking up pace in leaps and bounds in all major metropolitan cities in India. It is a refreshment activity which is explored by mid aged Indians and youngsters alike. Owing to this latest trend, global coffeehouse chain Starbucks which marked its entry in the Indian market in October 2012, has added three new stores to its kitty. The three new stores are opened in Delhi as well as Mumbai. As of now Starbucks is successfully running 15 stores in India, among which eight are situated in the Mumbai while rest are in Delhi. The location of each of new store is quite strategically planned, so that they can fetch the attention of diverse population ranging from various taste and income groups. In fact, they always choose the location where customers want them to be. Hence, when they first entered Delhi it was at the IGI aiport. The idea was to cater large and distinct population. This time around of the three stores two have been opened in Delhi one each at Nehru Place Metro Station and other in the GK1 market. The third one was opened at R-City Mall, Mumbai. Starbucks strongly believes in inculcating theIndian flavours, which is very much visible in each of their outlets. Each oftheir outlets has unique interiors which are hugely inspired by the Indian back drop.
