Titan to make a strong presence in the kids’ timewear segment

Titan Industries Ltd is all geared to stamp its strong presence in the children’s segment by making its kids’ timewear ‘Zoop’ available across 1,200 to 1,500 retail stores in 140 cities this year.

Titan Industries Ltd is all geared to stamp its strong presence in the children’s segment by making its kids’ timewear ‘Zoop’ available across 1,200 to 1,500 retail stores in 140 cities this year.

Shyamala Ramanan, senior marketing manager, Titan Watches, said that Zoop watches are already available across 1,000 retail stores. The company is looking at a marketing investment of Rs 1.5-2 crore for this quarter to scale up the brand's retail presence further.

He added that there are mostly traditional players in the kids' watch segment and the demand for quality watches for kids has been growing significantly.

Zoop was launched in October 2008 across six cities — Bengaluru, Chennai, Surat, Pune, Jaipur, and Kolkata.

“There are mostly traditional players in the kids' timewear segment and the demand for quality watches for kids has been growing significantly,” Ramanan added.

The watches will be available in around 75 styles for boys and girls with the tagline - 'Be a star'. The price range will vary between Rs 350 and Rs 900.
