V-Mart plans to expand the offline footprint

V-Mart Retail, a multi brand value retail chain plans to grow its distribution by adding another 35 stores to have the store count till 205 by the end of current financial year. As the part of growth strategy, the company plans to enter northeast region and plans to open four stores in Assam this month only.

Along with aforementioned, the company which has presence in 14 states, will also open two stores in October in Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.  While speaking with leading media agency, Lalit Agarwal, CMD, V-Mart Retail, said “Last fiscal, we had opened 31 stores and this year, we are targeting to open 35 stores and we would cross 200 mark.” The company is presently operating around 182 stores. In FY2017-18, V-Mart Retail had revenue of Rs 1,222.37 crore.
