Videocon mobiles said the company will invest Rs 15,000 crore in the sector to meet its target of achieving 10 crore customers in three years.
While launching its services in Gujarat, V N Dhoot, chairman of Videocon group, said that in the coming months the company aims to cover the entire urban and half the rural population.
He added that what sets apart Videocon Mobile from other service providers is its innovative tariff plans and value added services (VAS), which will be rolled out very shortly.
Videocon has also integrated the expertise of global telecom industry leaders to create infrastructure and the company has partnered Nokia, Siemens, Cisco, IBM, Wipro, Hauwei and others for technology.
