Yes Bank hooks Twitter for their offline customers

Social media platform Twitter and Yes bank has partnered for a service that enables the offline customers to receive tweets via SMS.

The idea is enlist the system to communicate its tweets to interested customers who are not online. The customers will get bank’s stream of 140 character missives on news, events and discounts and offers straight on their handsets via text messages (powered by Zipdial acquisition)

The innovative tie-up with Twitter will ease the efforts of reaching stakeholders who do not have an online twitter account, thereby helping to penetrate deeper in the retail space, believes Anindya Datta, chief marketing officer, Yes Bank.

The service can be activated by just giving a missed call to 011-3008-0888.
