Global fashion retailer Zara has confirmed the launch date of its ecommerce shop for its India market. To go live on October 4, the website would be the first time the Spanish retailer will trade directly with Indian consumers through its own dedicated online retail platform.
Zara has had a presence in India since 2010, with 18 stores in India and through online third party providers such as Amazon.
Its current website only allows shoppers to browse collections and check prices rather than actually purchase anything – which has been a gripe with many Zara fans in India.
“Dear India, our online shop is opening on October 4th,” Zara said in a Facebook post.
