i-mint, India's first and largest multiple partner rewards program, joined hands with Bhaktivedanta Hospital to continue to offer community welfare programs for the poor and needy residents of the society in rural areas.
To supplement the joint initiative, i-mint is looking to urge all its members to "SPEND FOR A CAUSE", where for every redemption; i-mint will donate 10 points between 15th December till 15th January, to fund the free cataract operations for the poorer sections. Also the i-mint member has a choice to fund one cataract operation by utilising 3,500 points for which they will be entitled for 80G tax benefits.
The Bhaktivedanta Hospital has been conducting free cataract surgical camp at Barsana, UP, and Rural Thane since 1991. Initially the average number of operations per year at each camp amounted to 200 surgeries. With the increase in the need for such services the surgeries have now increased to an average amount of 3,000 operations.
i-mint has pledged their support to the Bhaktivedanta Hospital in order to support the work that the hospital serves the needy in our society
Commenting on this initiative Vijay Bobba, CEO and Managing Director said "The medical need in the rural areas of India have been continuously rising. More and more people are falling sick due to lack of medical attention and we believe that it is extremely important that we do our part in contributing back in the upliftment of the needy sections of the society."
