Puma Expands Its Retail Footprint With The Largest Store In North India

German sportswear brand Puma has opened its largest store in North India, in Gurgaon. The store is the second largest for Puma in India after its flagship outlet in Bengaluru.

The store in Gurgaon's CyberHub retail destination is spread over about 7,000 sq ft and is a 'digitally-enabled experiential store' with a lot of digital touchpoints to lure digitally savvy customers who are increasingly shopping online.

Puma had lined up a whole host of celebrities for the event including boxing world champion MC Mary Kom, member of Tokyo Olympics Hockey bronze medal-winning team Rupinder Pal Singh, cricketer Washington Sundar and singer Harrdy Sandhu for the opening event on Thursday evening.

Puma's large NCR store comes close on the heels of a flagship store launch last month in New Delhi by rival Adidas. Spread over around 6,000 sq ft in the capital's premier business district of Connaught Place, the store boasts 32 digital touchpoints including immersive screens, digital plinths, and ceiling screens to give customers a digital shopping experience.

Similarly, US-based Nike Inc. too is planning to launch its largest India store of about 10,000 sq ft in New Delhi's Select Citywalk, according to the sources.
