Simpl, a technology company with the mission to make money simple, has partnered with Razorpay, the leading full-stack financial services company, to offer a seamless experience for over 10,000 merchants.
Through this partnership, merchants of all kinds, big or small, without having to invest in technology integration, will be able to accept Simpl as a payment mode in order to start accepting digital payments.
Simpl, being a leader in the ‘Pay later’ space, is working in collaboration with top merchants across categories, including Zomato, Dunzo, BigBasket, MakeMyTrip, Grofers, 1mg, Licious, Rapido, Quick Ride, BookMyShow, etc. Simpl is revolutionising the 'Khata system,' which is based on a trusted relationship with the users.
The partnership, which is currently live with 500+ merchants, will subsequently include many other leading merchants like HealthifyMe, upGrad, Cashify, The Ken, etc.
Nityanand Sharma, CEO and Co-Founder, Simpl, said, “We believe that the best payment experience is NO EXPERIENCE AT ALL and the only experience that matters is that of buying and enjoying the purchase. Our mission at Simpl is to build a platform that empowers any merchant, large and small, to form a trusted relationship with their consumer, one transaction at a time, via one-tap checkout.”
Shashank Kumar, CTO and Co-Founder, Razorpay, stated, “In this always-on, always-connected lifestyle, convenient credit access and frictionless online payments are the top asks from any consumer today. At Razorpay, we are constantly working towards marrying intelligent technology solutions with the payment needs of businesses by offering all payment modes integrated in a single platform and deliver a simple, affordable, secure and comprehensive payment experience for both, businesses and its consumers.”
Simpl, along with Razorpay, will work towards achieving its aim to enable network expansion and enhance payments for 1.4 million businesses by 2020.
The collaboration is also helping merchants address some of the most pressing needs of the current market: easy accessibility, replacing cash on delivery, and boosting cart conversions. With the demand for ease of payment, superior user experience, and money management growing exponentially in Tier II and Tier III cities, digital payments have a long way to go in India.
The larger strategic goal of the Simpl-Razorpay partnership is to enable distribution at scale and this is valuable especially for merchants with a wide user base. These merchants often lack the resources to integrate despite the high requirement.
“With Simpl's Pay Later feature and Razorpay's intelligent technology infrastructure, I am certain that the coming together of these two companies will create a hassle-free payment experience, one that businesses and consumers should take advantage of,” Kumar added.
