SleepyCat to Foray Into Offline Space this Festive Season, Aims 8 Stores in 2022

Premium D2C sleep solutions brand, SleepyCat is arriving in Bengaluru at Orion Mall with its first-ever offline retail store.

With a mission to expand SleepyCat’s retail presence across the country through a setup of well-distributed permanent physical stores, the brand launched a one-of-a-kind three-month offline store at Orion Mall.

Bengaluru, quick to adopt digital-first products -- be it tech or otherwise -- contributes to the maximum number of sales among metros for SleepyCat, so it’s already a favorite; driving the decision to set up shop in Bengaluru first, before anywhere else.

SleepyCat’s aspirations match the pace and the city’s nature of being ahead of the curve and understanding the value of investing in good quality sleep, and fabric & material that lasts.

Creating an atmosphere of high-quality design and comfort at every nook of the store that aids in a more relaxed sleep environment, at the LiteStore, SleepyCat offers its customers a chance to choose from a selection of premium mattresses ranging from  Plus, Latex, and Original Mattresses designed for optimum levels of comfort and support.

The brand was the first in India to offer customers the therapeutic Weighted Blanket that provides a state of deep sleep and rejuvenation. One can cuddle their way into the perfect sleep posture by investing in the huggable Cuddle Pillows and also align their neck posture by resting their head on the most supportive air Gel Memory Foam Pillow.

The store will have a one-of-a-kind Sleep Station. Customers and shoppers can interact with the materials and fabrics SleepyCat uses to make their best-in-class products. It’s one in a series of steps to demystify and offer transparency about what actually goes into making a mattress great. There will also be a video calling set-up for folks who’d like to schedule similar demos and sleep consultations from home, an in-depth knowledge into the fabrics used, foam material, waterproofing, and the final touch of every layer, helping them accurately navigate through their purchase decisions.

Kabir Siddiq, Founder and CEO, SleepyCat said “We are excited to launch our first-ever offline sleep experience in partnership with LiteStore at Orion Mall. A consumer today gives a lot of importance to a good night's sleep and understands the impact it has on moods, performance at work, mental health, interpersonal relationships, and fitness. This was the insight that galvanized the company to accelerate its decision to launch retail stores.”

“We picked Bengaluru for our very first store since a  majority of our customer base is from here, and we’ve received a lot of requests asking about a retail store. So this is us, giving our customers what they want!  Customers want to touch, feel and interact with our products as well as gain a deep insight into the process behind the production. This, our first retail store is step one in our bigger plan for SleepyCat retail. A robust, well-developed omnichannel model is the way forward for SleepyCat, ” he added.

The retail store will offer an interactive buying experience with SleepyCat’s extensively researched comfort-first & purpose-driven sleep solutions ranging from thoughtfully designed mattresses, snuggly comforters, pillows, protectors, therapeutic weighted blankets, DIY bed, and more. This offline traveling store marks the brand’s foray into the omnichannel model, paving the path for up to 8 stores in 2022 at malls and prime high street locations in metros such as Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi.
