Uniqlo, the Japanese apparel brand, has unveiled e-commerce operations in the Indian market. With this, the brand will now offer home deliveries in the country.
Uniqlo is planning to offer more than 20,000 items through its online services. These items include its flagship products like ultralight down jackets, EZY jeans, heattech, fleece jackets, and UT.
Tohomiko Sei, CEO, UNIQLO India, said, “After a large number of requests from across the country about our products, we are happy to announce that now consumers can shop UNIQLO products from the comfort of their homes.”
“With this service, we hope to provide more customers with iconic UNIQLO items like HEATTECH and Fleece jackets along with essential items like AIRism through our website to support their lives in this new normal. We will be delivering to people in more than 17,000 pin codes across the country,” he added.
Uniqlo launched its maiden store in India last October. It now has four stores in Delhi-NCR, with another scheduled to unveil in Noida later this year.
Uniqlo, a subsidiary of Japan-based apparel retailer Fast Retailing, is operating close to 2,200 stores in 25 markets across the world. The brand is one of the top apparel retailers worldwide.
