Korean electronics giants, L.G have launched lifestyle products catering to the needs of niche- class consumer. With this L.G introduces its Wonder Door Refrigerator & Total water solution in India. The U.S.P of the product comprises of the convenience it assures, energy saving guaranteed, enough space to accommodate all your eatables and vacuum seal that ensures your eatables stay fresh. Priced at Rs. 1, 76,500, it is clearly catering to the lifestyle requirements of the niche mass with its aesthetic indianized designing. The other product to grace the Indian market is the L.G Total water solution. First of its kind purifier in the country, which caters to the premium segment of the country, is in the price range of Rs. 34,000 & Rs. 39,990 and will be initially available in metro & mini-metro cities from April 15. Announcing the launch in the home-appliance category, Mr. Soon Kwon, President South West Asia Region & MD, LG India said, “India Is a strategic market for LG Electronics and our objective is to introduce flagship products into the market in synch with the rest of the world. LG plans to strengthen home-appliance segment in India with an investment of around Rs. 800 crore.Both of these products are designed keeping in mind the consumer-preference shift towards products and devices that come with smart technology, innovative design and sleek look.” he added then continued, " LG Electronics has achieved a turnover of Rs.16, 000 crore in 2010. We plan to cater to the rural mass in the coming years, as we realise the potential purchasing capacity of the sector is promising” said Mr. Rajeev Jain, Business Head- Home Appliances, LG India. The entry of LG signals their intention to explore more out of the premium segment of the country.
