In a noble attempt to raise fund for underprivileged children of Diksha School, ‘Bueno’ has come up with innovative ways to collect fund for the Diksha School Mela on the occasion of Diwali organized by the school.

Apparently, Diksha, based in PalamVihar, is a non-profit school run for underprivileged children coming from different backgrounds which include children from migrant families; children who get abandoned or are weak and undernourished. Moreover, children of refugees from Bangladesh are also taken care of by the school.

The school provides free of cost education to more than 300 kids. Bueno has been associated with Diksha for over three years now. In fact, Bueno has been providing financial aid to the school for the nutritious mid-day meal provided to the children.

“The main objective is not just one time charity however it is to be associated with the school for a long run in aiding them financially or any way possible as a measure of support for their social cause,” shared Rohan Arora, CEO, Bueno Foods.

This year the Diksha School Mela will be conducted on 1 November where there will be food stalls with a choice of more than 250 to 300 dishes; games and numerous fun-filled activities for the children.

The food is sponsored and provided by Bueno. One can get entry to the program with a reasonable Rs50 admission ticket. The money collected from this initiative will then be utilized towards the education of those needy children.

“Our association with the school has come a long way since 2012. Diksha is doing an admirable job of providing free education to those in need. We have always contributed for this noble cause in all the ways possible. Earlier we used provide financial assistance to them for the mid-day meal. However, now we want to take a step ahead and be connected with them for a long run,” added Arora.

The school conducts yearly fund raising activities however the success of fund-raising events like the School Mela can not only be measured by the number of people who register to participate each year but primarily by the growing network of volunteers like Bueno and many others who pledge to make Diksha and its objective a success.
